Cuenca Station is one of two train stations in Cuenca. You’ll find this one located in the city centre. The station operates mainline train services to Aranjuez and Valencia Nord Station. And facilities include a cafe, toilets and car hire.

Cuenca Fernando Zobel Station is the other train station and is located about 5kms south of the city centre. High-speed AVE train services from Madrid Atocha, Alicante or Valencia Joaquin Sorolla Station all connect to Cuenca Fernando Zobel Station.

Enjoy more with a Cuenca Station car hire

If you’re looking for a downtown location to collect a car hire, then Cuenca Station is perfect. There aren’t actually car hire services at Cuenca Fernando Zobel Station (at least not at the time of writing). So to pick up a car hire after arriving at Cuenca Fernando Zobel, you’ll first need to take a bus or taxi to the train station in the city centre.

Cuenca is easily one of the highlights of the Castile-La Mancha region in Spain. The well-preserved medieval city has a dramatic location on the cliffs overlooking a deep river gorge. Understandably, the city has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A top highlight is the Cosas Colgadas – a series of hanging houses whose wooden balconies overlook the Huecar river. Beyond Cuenca, other beautiful towns worth a visit include Alarcon, Tragacete and Valeras.

To reach Cuenca by plane, the nearest airport is Madrid Airport. You could either pick up a car hire from there or take the train to Cuenca.
